Cleveland Division of Fire Announces Civil Service Examination for Firefighters

Mayor Frank G. Jackson and the Cleveland Division of Fire are pleased to announce that a Civil Service Examination for the position of Firefighter will be offered on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Applications are required to take the exam and must be obtained and filed between April 19 and April 30, 2010.

Although the Division currently has 21 members in layoff status, this examination is being administered in anticipation of expected attrition in the next several years. Applications may be obtained at the Cleveland Convention Center, 500 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, Oh 44114, during the filing period from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturday April 24, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m................

Applications will also be accepted at the following Recreation Centers from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the dates listed:
