Hispanic Alliance names new Executive Director
Sonia Troche brings experience, passion to new position
The Board of Directors of Hispanic Alliance, Inc. is pleased to announce that Sonia Troche has been named the agency’s new Executive Director.
Ms. Troche, who is a native of Cleveland, has a wide range of work experience in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. She served as Executive Director of Adelante, The Latino Resource Center in Toledo, Ohio, and as Senior Community Officer of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration in Cleveland. Trained in Accounting, she received a Master of Business Administration from Tiffin University.
Ms. Troche explains that her educational background and experience have enabled her to provide the type of fiscal management necessary to ensure the profitability of the entities where she has served. She is known for her passion for strengthening communities and helping families improve their quality of life, and is often described as an effective communicator, coalition builder and solutions-driven individual, passionate about community empowerment.
In addition to work experiences, Ms. Troche has served on national, state and local boards and commissions as part of her commitment to serve the community.
Hispanic Alliance is a non-profit organization committed to collaborative community based solutions within the Hispanic community in Greater Cleveland. Its goal is to improve the quality of life for Latinos in the community and serve as a bridge connecting with and adding value to the Greater Cleveland community.
Lourdes Negrón-McDaniel, Chair of the Hispanic Alliance Board of Directors, explained that the Board underwent a very lengthy, systematic search for its new Executive Director, and is excited about Sonia Troche’s focus, passion and energy. “We are anxious to move forward on our agenda with this dynamic leader in place.”
