E 4th Street in the Gateway District
Zocalo Mexican Restaurant opened their doors to the public in Cleveland’s Downtown Gateway District in the fall of 2007. Zocalois located on E 4th Street near Pickwick and Frolics and across from the House Of Blues. It’s the perfect place to stop off and have eats or drinks before an Indians or Browns game.
They specialize in authentic Mexican cuisine, using products that come fromPuebla for the vegetables, Yucatan for the meats, and Veracruz for the fish region.
One of Zocalo’s favorite plate is called Zocalo’s Favorito which is a combination of chicken, steak, shrimp topped with guacamole, sour cream, rice, tomatoes, lettuce, beans and their uncompatable homemade tortillas. MMMM DELICIOUS!
Zocalo attracts alot of people that want to experience dining as though they were eating at an outside sea side resort When the glass doors open up in the front of the restaurant, it feels like you are sitting in an open air market eatery. Don’t be surprized if a bird or two fly into Zocalo and perch on the bar.
Not forgetting the drinks, they carry a full line of Mexican beer, specialising in different Margaritas with top grade Tequilas. In one part of the restaurant they even have a tequila room where customers can visit and select different brands of tequila that are rare tequilas not sold in other restaurants or liquor stores.
